9/26/2023 0 Comments Diablo 2 mods + redditSure if they had proper support, along with a mod marketplace and all, then people would expect those mods to be safe, which is a hard issue. The issue I see now is that they explicitly prohibit binary modding/reverse engineering of any kind in their EULA, and have an anti cheat running that I'm guessing might also trigger when you try to mod your SP game.Īs much as I'd love to write (SP) mods for D2R, I don't want to risk getting banned either, so I can totally understand the statement of the PlugY dev.Ĭiting security issues here sounds like a cop-out to me. If people want to mod their SP game, they just have to not work against them (as is currently the case in D2). They don't need to support anything as long as we're talking about binary mods. I am probably missing something so if anyone can help me out, I'd appreciate it.Last updated at 14:00:17 UTC Weekly Help Desk RAGE Loot Thread Trade Thread How would I get them to work, if I can at all, with PlugY? I tried to make a shortcut to PlugY.exe and add -direct -txt to it, but it has no effect. I've gotten them to work with vanilla, so I know I have installed them correctly. "C:\path\to\Diablo 2\Game.exe" -direct -txt" The resultant target should look something like this (with quotes): "Just extract this archive to your Diablo 2 directory and then (if you haven't already) create a shortcut to game.exe and add " -direct -txt" (without quotes) to the shortcut's target field. To install some of these I have to add "-direct -txt" to the target for a shortcut to game.exe. ![]() Mainly just singleplayer stuff like fixing the 5's looking like 6's, more balanced leveling, balanced drop rates, etc. I've been trying for a bit to get a few mods to work with PlugY, specifically from this site.
